The Korean cookery is similar to the Chinese cookery as it also uses rice, vegetables, floury products, fish, etc. Soya is also used in the majority of the dishes. The Koreans don't use the dairy products at all. The main course of the Korean meals is the rice that is accompanied with different dishes that vary from place to place and in dependence on the season.
But Korean cookery also has the original national courses such as the vegetable hot dish from the sauerkraut and radish. Soup plays almost the most important role in the life of Korean people. There are no meals without soups. Besides, the dishes with the maritime products, meat and bird's meat, vegetables and plants are also served.
The separate cups and plated for rice and soup are put for every guest. And the rest dishes are put in the centre of the table from which every person takes the dish he/she wants. They use special rods and spoons for eating.
